02The checklist
How to compare platforms in India.
Eight questions to ask any platform, BizzPocket included, before you move your catalogue.
- 1
What does it cost in rupees, all in?
Check the plan price, any platform fee per order and whether renewals are billed in another currency. A free plan you can actually launch on is a good sign.
- 2
Can buyers pay the way they already pay?
UPI, cards, net banking, wallets and cash on delivery should be part of the core checkout, not paid add-ons. Ask whether COD can be limited by pincode or order value.
- 3
Who holds the money?
Settlements should go from your own payment gateway account to your bank. Confirm whose gateway is used and who charges the gateway fee.
- 4
Are GST invoices built in?
You should be able to sell with or without a GSTIN and get a proper invoice on every order without a plugin.
- 5
How does shipping actually work?
Look for courier integrations that book pickups and print labels from the order screen, with tracking that flows back and COD cash remitted by the courier.
- 6
Where do WhatsApp and Instagram orders land?
Orders from chats and links should land in the same dashboard as website orders, with the buyer saved as a customer you can reach again.
- 7
What do you own if you leave?
Your domain, your customer list and an export of your products. Check what leaves with you before you commit.
- 8
Who answers when you get stuck?
Support in the language you work in, on the channel you already use, from people who know your category.
