Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to the website owner. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies BizzPocket Technologies Private Limited ("BizzPocket") uses and how you can manage them.
2. How We Use Cookies
BizzPocket uses cookies for the following purposes:
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in, navigate the dashboard, or use core features.
- Authentication cookies: Maintain your logged-in session on the seller dashboard and storefront admin panel.
- Security cookies: Prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and other security threats.
- Load balancer cookies: Distribute traffic across servers for optimal performance.
2.2 Functional Cookies
These cookies remember your preferences and settings to provide a personalized experience.
- Language and region preferences: Remember your display language and currency settings.
- Dashboard layout preferences: Remember your preferred dashboard view and sidebar state.
- Theme preview state: Maintain theme customization state during editing sessions.
2.3 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform so we can improve it.
- Page views and navigation patterns: Track which pages are visited and how users navigate the Platform.
- Feature usage: Understand which features are most used to prioritize improvements.
- Performance metrics: Measure page load times and identify bottlenecks.
- Error tracking: Detect and diagnose platform errors for faster resolution.
2.4 Marketing Cookies (Merchant Storefronts Only)
Merchants may choose to enable marketing cookies on their individual storefronts for purposes such as:
- Meta Pixel (Facebook): If enabled by the Merchant, tracks Buyer interactions for Facebook/Instagram advertising.
- Google Analytics: If configured by the Merchant, provides storefront traffic and conversion analytics.
- Retargeting: Merchant-configured retargeting pixels for advertising platforms.
Note: The use of marketing cookies on Merchant storefronts is the responsibility of the individual Merchant as the Data Fiduciary for their Buyers' data. BizzPocket provides the technical infrastructure but does not control Merchant cookie decisions.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on the Platform are set by third-party services that we use:
- Payment gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree): May set cookies during checkout to process payments securely and prevent fraud.
- Cloudflare: Sets cookies for security, bot detection, and content delivery optimization.
- Communication services: May set cookies to facilitate chat widgets or customer support interactions.
These third-party cookies are governed by the respective third party's privacy and cookie policies. BizzPocket does not control these cookies.
4. Cookie Duration
- Session cookies: These cookies expire when you close your browser. Used for authentication and security.
- Persistent cookies: These cookies remain on your device for a set period (typically 30 days to 1 year). Used for preferences and analytics.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies in several ways:
5.1 Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can typically find these in the "Privacy" or "Security" section of your browser's preferences. You can:
- Block all cookies
- Accept only first-party cookies
- Delete cookies when you close your browser
- View and delete specific cookies
Note: Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Platform from functioning correctly. You may not be able to log in or use key features.
5.2 Opt-Out Links
- Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Facebook/Meta: https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies/
6. Cookies and Indian Law
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, cookies that collect personal data are subject to consent requirements. BizzPocket obtains consent for non-essential cookies through clear notice and consent mechanisms. Strictly necessary cookies that are essential for service delivery do not require separate consent under the DPDP Act, as they are necessary for the performance of the contract between you and BizzPocket.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our cookie usage, technology, or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
